Weston-super-Mare
December 27/75

        To W. Allingham, Esq.

    My dear Sir,

I do not know what you will think of me. While you are preparing to send me translations of Virgil to write on, I am suddenly seized with combinations of thought that I fear to forget, and at once set about a new article on National Religions and their Break-up; and could not stop till I had finished.

I now send it to you, registered in Post Office. It is about the length of the MS. which you already have in your hands. If for any reason you cannot accept it for Fraser, I am sure you will kindly return it safe to me.

With best Christmas and New Year wishes.

I am, very truly yours,
F. W. Newman
